Understanding the psychedelic marriage

Leary refers to the energy-sharing male-female relationship interchangeably as a psychedelic marriage, a spiritual marriage, a neurological marriage, or a tantric marriage.

The psychedelic marriage is the attempt to reach union at all levels of consciousness; to work out harmonies of increasing energy intensities.

And of course when you’re in the presence of such a couple, if you’re alert to these hedonic matters, it’s a very powerful experience, because you are literally dealing with a double merged entity which all biochemistry tells us is more than the addition of its contingent parts.
